Meet the Team
The people behind MOHARA are why the approach works. In a world where AI is doing more of the execution, the humans guiding it matter more than ever. Experience, judgment, and the willingness to tell you the truth, that is what this team brings.
Leadership

Richard Sams
Co-Founder & Co-CEO
Richard sits at the intersection of AI, product development, and venture creation, and has done for over a decade. He has built more than 100 products across multiple verticals and invested in over 40 startups through MOHARA.vc. That dual perspective, investor and builder, gives him a view of what makes products succeed that very few people in this industry have.
He leads MOHARA's venture studio strategy and advises startups and support organisations including the New Entrepreneurs Foundation. When he's not working, he's on a golf course, behind a camera, or spending time with his family. He believes attention compounds, and shares what he's learning about AI, startups, and venture building through content and conversations.
His philosophy: working with people you enjoy, building companies that matter, and leaving behind products that create real impact.

Ben Blomerley
Co-Founder & Co-CEO
Ben spent eight years at EY across Manchester, London, and Mumbai before his MBA at INSEAD led him to change course. He started a marketplace business that, in retrospect, was doomed to failure, but that failure introduced him to Richard, his co-founder, and MOHARA was born. He has since worked at scale, been part of a team that sold a business, watched businesses fail, and learned something valuable from all of it.
He is the person in the room who makes sure ambition and execution stay connected. His focus is on how MOHARA delivers repeatable quality, and on building long-term partnerships with clients, because doing what is right for customers is, in the long run, right for MOHARA too.
He once wrote to Roald Dahl as a child and sent him a story. Dahl advised him that although he had a great imagination, he should learn another trade as well, or he might starve. He has followed that advice ever since.
His philosophy: let's be pioneers together.

Nick Solly
CTO
Nick's father taught him to code before he taught him how to ride a bike. Technology has never been something Nick learned, it's something he's always spoken. Oxford-educated, CTO Craft Top 100 Influential Leader, and the person accountable for engineering excellence across every build MOHARA touches.
He leads the GenAI and proof-of-concept work, in healthtech, automotive, and consumer applications, that keeps MOHARA at the edge of what's technically possible. When he's not at a laptop, you'll find him hiking a mountain, listening to music, or expanding his board game collection.
His philosophy: engineering quality is not a constraint on speed. It's what makes speed sustainable.

Chris Brereton
Head of U.S. Investments & Growth
Chris works at the intersection of product, energy, health, and long-term impact, and has built a career guided by a single purpose: amplifying positive impact for people and the planet. He is a fractional product and ops leader, an active early-stage investor across healthtech, climate tech, and digital infrastructure, and the founder of Product Hang Partners, one of the most trusted communities of product leaders in healthcare and climate.
He leads MOHARA's U.S. pipeline and growth strategy, bringing the kind of commercial and product judgment that only comes from having been on both sides of the table, as operator, investor, and advisor.
His philosophy: the best products and the best investments have the same thing in common, clarity about what problem they're actually solving.

Patcharada (Prisha) Rattana
Head of People & Talent & Thailand Hub Managing Director
Prisha runs people and talent operations across MOHARA's global offices, UK, Thailand, South Africa, and Mexico, from recruitment through to alumni relations. She also serves as Managing Director of MOHARA's Bangkok hub, overseeing operations for the entire Thailand office.
The quality of what MOHARA builds is inseparable from the quality of who builds it. That is Prisha's domain, and she takes it seriously across every timezone MOHARA operates in.
His philosophy: the right team doesn't just deliver better work. It makes the whole thing worth doing.

Robert Cubbage
Chairman
Three decades as a partner at EY gives you a particular kind of judgment, the kind that has seen enough boardrooms, enough balance sheets, and enough ambitious companies to know what good governance actually looks like in practice. Robert brings that to MOHARA.
As Treasurer of the RSPB, one of the UK's largest and most respected charities, he also brings something rarer in the technology world, a genuine commitment to institutions that exist for reasons beyond profit. That combination of commercial rigour and values-led stewardship is exactly what a fast-moving company needs in its corner.
His philosophy: governance is not a brake on ambition. It's what makes ambition last.

Simon Jackson
Board Advisor
Simon sits at the intersection of commercial leadership, business transformation, and the boardroom decisions that determine whether technology decisions convert to better customer and business outcomes. He has spent over two decades running the commercial side of consumer businesses, including a £500m P&L as Global MD Retail at Travelex, taking ecommerce from £500m to £1.5bn at Screwfix, and senior commercial roles at Sky, Avis and Gamesys.
At MOHARA, Simon advises the leadership team and works directly with businesses on AI commercialisation strategy and execution. His focus is unlocking the intrapreneurship already happening inside organisations, the uncaptured AI innovation by employees on personal accounts, and helping leaders convert it into governed, scaled, commercial value. When he's not working, he's with his five children, on or around motorcycles and planning his next travel adventure.
His philosophy: start with the customer. Understand the need first, then apply product and technology to build outcomes customers value and businesses can scale.
Connect on LinkedIn →The people who make it real
Behind the leadership team is a group of engineers, product thinkers, designers, and delivery leads who bring this to life every day. Across five countries and every timezone that matters, they are the reason the standard holds.
They are not a resource pool. They are the people clients work with, trust, and, more often than not, want to work with again.
What we believe
These are not values we put on a wall. They are the things that actually shape how we work, across every role, every office, every engagement.
Professional Expertise
We are experts in what we do. Technical excellence, deep domain knowledge, and consistently strong execution, not as a baseline, but as a standard we actively protect. We take responsibility for outcomes, not just outputs.
Growth and Vision
We think beyond the immediate. For our clients, that means building products that compound rather than constrain. For our team, it means staying ahead, in how we work, what we use, and where we're going. We are restless by nature. That is a feature, not a bug.
Reliability and Process
Speed without structure is how things break. We build strong processes that make delivery consistent, risks visible, and timelines honest. The teams that trust us most are the ones who've seen that we do what we say we'll do.
Bravery, Curiosity, Empathy
We stay bold enough to challenge old ways, curious enough to seek better ones, and empathetic enough to build with people in mind. We own mistakes early. We ask the questions others avoid. We support each other when things are hard, because they sometimes are.
A global team. A single standard.
MOHARA operates across London, Cape Town, Bangkok, Guadalajara and Portland. Different time zones, different contexts, different strengths, held together by the same commitment to building things that actually work.
We are always looking for exceptional people.
If you are someone who cares about building software well, and wants to do it inside a model that's designed for the world that actually exists now, we would like to hear from you.
